LAY YOUR HEAD ON THE EMPTY CHAIR...HE'S THERE

The Narrow Road….
Went to this Life on the Narrow Road Conference
With Dr. Larry Crabb
Of http://www.newwayministries.org/

And my God so showed up in the 7th row
Where I sat and hung on to every word
that this speaker said…
I've been to scores of conferences
but this one was different...
it was about the narrow road that few find
there was one quote the speaker shared
that touched me...
it's from Brennan Manning:

“More blessed are those who have not seen and have laid their head on the empty chair in trust and in faith.”

Trust and Faith. what powerful words. It was lamost ayear ago that Katie and I both had faith and trusted that God had something absolutely amazing in store for Katie (and Brooke too!) that none of us could have even imagined in our finite minds; Thailand! Thailand?

What amazing things God did to amek that happen and what a leap of faith Katie and I made. Katie because it meant going 22 hours away to a job and country totally unknown to her. Me, the trust to let her go and the faith that God would provide for her needs. And Beverly, God put Brooke right square in Katie's path! What an amazing young woman Brooke is. Thank you for your daughter. I couldn't have even prayed for a more perfect friend and roommate for Katie. Incredible!

Praying for Our Friend Joanne Psalm 131:3 Waiting on God. Hope Now. Hope Always.

I have another blog where I blog daily as a small group of us read through the New Testament this year. It's called A String of Pearls. We carry each other on mats (when we just can't walk anymore) to Jesus and sweet things like that.
